The new album, which Streisand personally produced, is comprised of ten Bergman songs which Streisand has never previously recorded. "We've been working hard on this album not only in Nashville, but in studios across the country because I've been on the Idol tour," he says. Seventeen-year-old Scotty is the youngest male winner in the nine-year history of American Idol. A record-breaking 122.4 million votes were cast for Scotty and runner-up Lauren Alaina. The final show attracted 29.3 million viewers and 38.6 million people tuned in to see the winner's name announced.

Scotty's new album is a collection of songs in the same straight-ahead country style that captured the nation's hearts - and votes--on the show. It's the next step in a promising career that is already breaking records. "It has some old country influences and elements, but it also has a contemporary feel with fun up-tempo songs," Scotty says. "It's a good mixture. You can hear some of the influences that I grew up with, like Hank Williams, Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard, but it still has a contemporary twist and feel that keeps it up to date."

"I chose these songs because they mean a lot to me, but I think everybody can relate to these kinds of songs," Scotty says. "Clear As Day just sounded like a great album title, but it's also one of my favorite songs on the album, and I love the message behind the song which was written by Casey Beatherd, Phil O'Donnell and Adam Wheeler."

Il Volo

In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca Ginoble (16), appeared on the popular Italian talent show "Ti Lascio Una Canzone" and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard "O Sole Mio." The boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name. "Il Volo," meaning "flight," was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly.

It wasn't long before IL VOLO's managers -- Michele Torpedine (who has looked after the careers of Andrea Bocelli and Italian rock star Zucchero) and world renowned singer/producer Tony Renis -- landed a worldwide recording contract for the trio with Universal Music Group which released IL VOLO's self-titled debut album in Italy November 2010. "Proud To Be Here was chosen as the album title some weeks ago because it's how I've felt ever since my first album release and during every milestone since. The title song could have been based on my life and it's about narrow escapes and the grace that guides you through. Obviously, now after the fire, Proud To Be Here takes on an even greater significance. Once again, I've been blessed and everyone is safe. I don't even want to think what could've been had it started at 3am instead of 3pm..." said Trace.

Recorded in the Spring of 2011 and dubbed PROUD TO BE HERE last May, the album was produced by Kenny Beard and Mark Wright. The album contains 10 tracks with an additional 4 tracks appearing on the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes Trace and Blake Shelton (courtesy of Warner Bros. Records) on a hilarious response song called "If I Was a Woman," co-written by Trace Adkins, Sherrie Austin, Jeff Bates and Kenny Beard.

Trace's own co-writing is more prominent on PROUD TO BE HERE than on previous releases - a fact he attributes to the creative environment he has established on his farm outside of Nashville. The farm didn't only inspire new songs, it also recently served as the location for the "Just Fishin'" music video, starring youngest daughter, Trinity Adkins.

Lead single, "Just Fishin'" (Casey Beathard, Monty Criswell, Ed Hill) was produced by Michael Knox and is a father's tender tribute to his daughter. Adkins' signature subject range is present once again on PROUD TO BE HERE, whether he's cursing his brother Clay for moving in on his lady on "Damn You Bubba," or celebrating the simple pleasures in life with "Days Like This." Meanwhile, the album's title track, "Proud To Be Here," (Chris Wallin, Aaron Barker, Ira Dean) reads like a page out of Trace's 2007 autobiography and will strike a chord with everyone who can look back gratefully on the grace that guided them through narrow escapes.

Narrow escapes have famously been Trace's luck in life - his most recent being the house fire that claimed his Tennessee home on June 4.
